Netflix Bags 13 New Anime in the Nippon TV Deal

JAPAN: Nippon TV recently announced a collaboration with Netflix. According to the deal, the streaming giant will add 13 new anime titles to the watchlist. Given the global hype about anime, Netflix has decided to expand its collection to attract various anime fans. 

Hunter x Hunter, Death Note, and much more anime will arrive on Netflix

In March 2022, Nippon TV and Netflix agreed to a global distribution agreement for the hit reality series Old Enough! The streaming giant now streams 20 episodes of the show in 32 different languages.

The lightning deal between Netflix and Nippon TV opens the floodgate for new anime arriving to the streaming giant. 13 new anime will arrive on the platform. 2011 Hunter x Hunter, Ouran High School Host Club, and Claymore will be available to stream from September 1, 2022.  

Hunter x Hunter consists of 148 episodes, out of which the first 38 episodes will be streamed on Netflix. The anime will air in selected 104 countries. Ouran High School Host Club includes 26 episodes that will be available on the platform in 190 countries. Netflix will also add all 26 episodes of Claymore in 136 countries.

Netflix will add the following anime:

Death Note: 37 episodes with 30 minutes of runtime for each episode.  

Death Note: Relight- Vision of a God: 130 minutes of runtime (anime will be available in 14 countries).

Death Note: Re-light: L’s Successors: 120 minutes of runtime (anime will be available in 14 countries).

From Me to You: 25 episodes (30 minutes of runtime for each episode).  

From Me to You Season 2: 13 episodes (30 minutes of runtime for each episode). 

1997 Berserk: 25 episodes (30 minutes of runtime for each episode). 

Parasyte – The Maxim: 24 episodes (30 minutes of runtime for each episode).

Nana: 47 episodes (30 minutes of runtime for each episode).

Hajime no Ippo – The Fighting!: 76 episodes (30 minutes of runtime for each episode).

Monster: 74 episodes (30 minutes of runtime for each episode).

The release date for the anime mentioned above is yet to be finalised but will be available soon on Netflix in the selected countries.
