Naruto Bagged Nostalgic Key Visuals Marking the 20th Anniversary of its Release

The makers dropped three Naruto posters featuring all the iconic characters

JAPAN: Naruto can be termed one of the most popular Shonen, and any news related to our beloved Unpredictable Ninja surely shatters the internet. Now, the fan-favourite anime has completed 20 years since its release. The makers also shared the new key visuals celebrating the anniversary, which have grabbed the attention of numerous anime enthusiasts.

Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura gained the spotlight in key visuals

Based on Masashi Kishimoto’s highly popular manga series, the anime chronicles Naruto’s journey to becoming Hokage. Kishimoto’s manga was first published in September 1999, and within months of its debut, the title bagged massive readers for its unique characters and especially the Ninja theme.

Following the popularity of the series, Studio Pierrot developed the anime title on October 3, 2002, which became a massive hit title among the public. Continuing the success of the original anime, a sequel, Naruto: Shippuden, was also released in 2007, which skyrocketed the anime fandom to the next level.

Today (October 3, 2022) marks the 20th anniversary of this anime. On such an occasion, the makers unveiled the new anime key visual featuring our beloved characters. A total of three posters have been released. The first image portrays Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi, Kiba, Choji, Neji, and Shikamaru. The iconic battle of the Third Hokage and Orochimaru is also featured in the background.

The second poster showcases Akatsuki members, including Itachi, Hidan, Kakuzu, Deidara, all six forms of Pain, and Sasori. The third key visual depicted Madara, Obito, Kaguya, Minato, Kushina, and team seven. A glimpse of “The Valley of the End” can also be spotted in the picture. All the images featuring the iconic characters from the series provide a nostalgic feeling, and as a viewer, we feel that we’ve come a long way since the anime first aired.

Reacting to the posters, anime fans expressed excitement, and some also penned emotional messages in the comment sections. One user added, “Happy 20th anniversary Naruto, and thank you very much for all this; I am really very happy, especially for Sasuke and Naruto, my great ninjas who followed them since I was a child.” “Sasuke and Naruto are together in the middle and front because this is their world, and the rest just live in it,” added the other fan.

Naruto has continued to hold a prominent place in the anime community, even though it was released two decades ago. Thanks to the distinctive characters and compelling plot, the series’ fanbase keeps expanding daily.
