INDIA: Motorola, the renowned smartphone manufacturer, has expanded its extensive lineup of budget-friendly devices with the much-anticipated launch of the Moto G14. 

Positioned to capture the pocket-friendly smartphone segment, the Moto G14 joins the ranks of its predecessors like the Moto E32 and Moto E13.

The smartphone’s unveiling coincides with the release of two other budget smartphones, the Redmi Note 12 and the Oppo A78, all vying for the attention of cost-conscious consumers. After several days of anticipation and teasers by Flipkart, the Moto G14 is now officially available for eager buyers.

At the launch event, Prashanth Mani, Executive Director of Motorola Asia Pacific, expressed the company’s commitment to delivering premium design and an exceptionally immersive entertainment experience with the new Moto G14.

Design and display

The Moto G14 boasts a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a smooth 60Hz refresh rate, ensuring vivid visuals and seamless performance. Accompanied by stereo speakers supporting Dolby Atmos, users can indulge in a captivating multimedia experience. 

The phone’s slim profile, weighing in at 177g and measuring 7.99mm in thickness, features an acrylic glass (PMMA) body, giving it a sleek and modern look.

Performance and storage

Under the hood, the Moto G14 is powered by the UNISOC T616 Octa-Core Processor, ensuring smooth multitasking and reliable performance. Coupled with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM, users can switch between apps with ease. 

Furthermore, the device offers ample storage capacity with 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, expandable up to a staggering 1TB, making it ideal for media enthusiasts and content hoarders alike.
 
Running on Android 13 out of the box, users can also look forward to an upgrade to Android 14, demonstrating Motorola’s commitment to software support. The company also promises up to 3 years of security updates for added peace of mind.

Camera and imaging

The Moto G14 features a dual-camera setup on the rear, spearheaded by a primary 50MP sensor, ensuring stunningly detailed photographs. Complementing the primary sensor is a dedicated 2MP macro vision camera, allowing users to explore the world of intricate close-up shots. 

The quad-pixel technology enhances low-light sensitivity, resulting in brighter and sharper images even in challenging lighting conditions. On the front, the device sports an 8MP selfie camera housed in a subtle hole-punch cutout.

Battery and additional features

Keeping users powered throughout the day is a robust 5000mAh battery that supports 20W Turbo Power charging for quick top-ups. Additionally, the Moto G14 comes with IP52 protection, guarding it against splashes and dust.

The device also offers a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face recognition for enhanced security and convenience. Other notable features include dual SIM support, Motorola gestures, and dual-band Wi-Fi support.

Pricing and availability

Motorola has launched the Moto G14 at an attractive price point of Rs. 9999. Excitingly, pre-orders for the phone have already commenced exclusively on Flipkart, starting at 12 p.m. The pre-order incentives include free screen damage protection worth Rs. 3200 and an immediate discount of Rs. 750 on ICICI Bank Cards.

The Moto G14 will be available in two elegant color options: sky blue and Steel Grey. On August 8, starting at 12 PM, interested buyers can purchase the device from Flipkart, Motorola.in, and leading retail stores, fulfilling their quest for an affordable smartphone without compromising on performance and features.
