MLA Sunil Rane’s Atharva Foundation Donates Ambulance to Ex-Servicemen in Nagaland

INDIA. Mumbai: In a generous gesture, the Atharva Foundation, an organization founded by BJP MLA Sunil Rane, presented a well-equipped ambulance based on a Mahindra Supro to the ex-servicemen community in Nagaland’s Mon district. Mon district is the third-largest district in Nagaland.

The donation was made during a ceremony held at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat Complex in Kohima.

Abhijit Sinha, the Home Commissioner of Nagaland, graced the occasion as the chief guest and officially handed over the ambulance to Subedar Major (Hony Capt) Khaknyei Konyak (Retd), the President of the Ex-servicemen League in Mon District.

The event commenced with a warm welcome and a project overview by Captain (IN) Lalsuonglien Tonsing V (Retired), Director of Ex-servicemen Welfare in Nagaland.

Tonsing expressed gratitude for the Atharva Foundation’s admirable commitment to supporting ex-servicemen, martyrs, and active-duty soldiers through this ambulance donation.

He emphasized the diverse range of ages and perspectives within the ex-servicemen community and underscored the importance of promoting the welfare measures provided by both the Central and State Governments.

Addressing the gathering, Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha stressed the significance of swift medical responses during emergencies. He also expressed confidence that the donated ambulance would be a crucial asset for assisting the citizens of Mon district.

He conveyed his deep appreciation to the Atharva Foundation for their generous contribution and commended the department for its noble initiative in supporting ex-servicemen’s welfare.

Nagaland is home to around 3,100 ex-servicemen, with over 120 residing in the Mon District. The ambulance donation was made as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives of the Atharva Foundation, led by BJP MLA Sunil Rane.

The Directorate of Sainik Welfare & Resettlement played a key role in conceptualizing and implementing this praiseworthy welfare project, aimed at providing essential medical support to ex-servicemen and their families in the remote region.

The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt prayer by Pastor KLBC Mhonchamo Lotha for the well-being of all.
