UNITED STATES: Lionel Messi’s Argentina defeated Brazil to win the Copa America title after 28 long years. The lengthy wait for Lionel Messi has finally come to an end. Lionel Messi, who has won every Title with Barcelona was yet to win a National Title. His streak has come to an end with today’s triumph. Messi and co. had their job cut out for them against a quality Brazil team, and they rose to the occasion wonderfully. Argentina joins Uruguay for joint most Copa America Titles.

This was also Argentina’s first goal in finals since 2005.
