UNITED KINGDOM: Solera, a specialist software company in vehicle lifecycle management, announced a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Mercedes.
Solera describes itself as the “global leader in vehicle lifecycle management software-as-a-service, data, and services,” with more than 300,000 customers worldwide in over 100 countries.
Their logo will also be on the Mercedes-Benz AMG car used for “Hot Laps” at a race weekend this season.
Toto Wolff, Mercedes’ CEO and team principal, said that data innovation and a drive for ultimate performance through people, processes, and technology are characteristics of a successful company.
Wolff added that the Brackley-based outfit is delighted to welcome Solera to the team as a partner, not only due to Solera’s industry-leading reputation but also because of the beliefs and values shared by the two companies.
Richard Sanders, Mercedes’ commercial director, added that it is fantastic to welcome Solera to Mercedes’ growing family of partners. He felt that there are numerous synergies between the two companies, which lead the rest in their respective sectors.
Sanders added that the German automotive brand is looking forward to beginning the relationship with Solera and introducing its global audience to the brand.
Darko Dejanovic, CEO of Solera, stated, “Solera and the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team share the same commitment to transform the automotive industry.” He expressed his excitement about the collaboration.
Dejanovic said that the collaboration gives both companies chances to break new ground and motivate excellence worldwide.
Mercedes endured a disappointing 2022 season that, even by its high standards, resulted in only one victory and third place in the Constructors’ Championship.
The team has dominated the turbo-hybrid era in F1 since 2014, winning eight Constructors’ titles in a row. Mercedes will be looking to return to the top of their game and the score sheets in the upcoming F1 season.
Mercedes will launch the all-new W14 on February 15 and introduce Solera branding for the first time. Preseason testing will begin in Bahrain the following week.
