UNITED STATES: Finally, Loki has arrived with the much-awaited Season 2 trailer. After the mediocre and disappointing finale of Secret Invasion and what Marvel has given in the form of She-Hulk and Ms Marvel, it appears the House of Mouse has brought Loki to roll another trick to woo the fans.

From time travel to multiple variants, the Loki S2 trailer has packed a tonne of stuff for Marvel fans. Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Jonathan Majors, and Sophia Di Martino are back for another adventure, travelling every existing reality.

Besides the old team joining the show, Everything Everywhere All at Once fame Ke Huy Quan has embarked on another multiverse mission but this time as a TVA (Time Variance Authority) member known as OB.

The trailer opens with Mobius and Loki meeting OB, where the God of Mischief is suffering from a “Timeslip”, which teleports him to different locations or different timelines maybe.

This phenomenon resembles how the multiple versions of Spider-Man glitch in Into the Spider-Verse. The way Hiddleston glitches props to the visual artist to pull off the finest work of CG, which has been missing from the MCU for a long time.

Coming back to OB, it appears he is some sort of a maintenance guy in TVA who worked in a steampunk-style office brimming with pneumatic pods complementing the entire setting of the show.

Talking about the Marvel trickster suffering from Timeslip, he just pops up in multiple timelines, and at some point, he even meets his future version.

At the same time, the trailer also showcases Sylvie, where we also get a visual representation of Incursion, which has been earlier mentioned in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

The Loki trailer then quickly glimpses Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Renslayer and Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15. However, the appearance of Miss Minutes, voiced by Tara Strong, is depicted haunting the people set in some retro timeline, which piques the curiosity about the Time Mascot’s role in the story.

In the end, Jonathan Majors as Victor Timely, another variant of Kang the Conqueror, is introduced to the viewers. However, this is not the first time where the character has been shown; those who have been through the tedious story of Ant-Man 3 have seen him in the post-credit scene.

As of now, all these elements are enough to hook the audience in various fan theories and plot speculations. Until then, we must wait for Loki’s Disney+ arrival on October 6, 2023.

Final thoughts

Talking about the current MCU scenario, it has been baffling with multiple shows based on such characters that no one has asked for. When it comes to Loki Season 1, it is not the best as many claim it to be, but it is an entertaining series if we compare it to the rest of the MCU Disney+ shows.

The character of Loki and the multiverse setting are what make this show an interesting premise to witness unfold on the screen. For MCU to succeed in the series game, the House of Mouse should learn from how Netflix has managed to pull the best of Marvel in TV shows in the form of Daredevil and Punisher.

No Loki or any other current MCU show could match the level of these shows, and if it does, then congratulations! Marvel is back on track.
