The overnight fame came as a perk to her hard work, and Kristen admitted that she never expected the first film to be so successful the way it did.

Moreover, the Twilight star said on a podcast, “I’m always trying to remind folks that [the original ‘Twilight’ film was formally an indie] without disparaging it or saying, ‘it was nothing!’ We simply didn’t know. And it seemed like an offbeat, slightly marginal teen film. I didn’t expect everyone would accept that. I had no idea we were going to do a sequel.”
