INDIA: Indian smartphone manufacturer Lava has stepped up its game to compete against Chinese giant Xiaomi with the launch of its latest offering – the Lava Yuva 2. With a sleek glass back finish and an affordable price tag of Rs 6,999, Lava aims to entice budget-conscious consumers and expand its presence in the competitive market. This move comes in response to Xiaomi’s recent release of the Redmi 12 series, featuring a glass design, starting at a higher price of Rs 8,999.

Powerful specs and impressive design

The Lava Yuva 2 comes equipped with a robust Unisoc T606 Octa-Core Processor, 3GB of RAM, and 64GB of UFS 2.2 compliant ROM, expandable by an additional 3GB of virtual RAM. This hardware combination promises smooth performance and ample storage for everyday tasks and applications. However, the real showstopper is its glass back finish, giving the Yuva 2 a premium and stylish look.

High refresh rate display and long-lasting battery

The smartphone sports a high refresh rate display with a smooth 90 Hz, offering users a seamless and immersive visual experience. The lower bezels contribute to a high screen-to-body ratio, making the device even more appealing. Additionally, the 5,000 mAh battery ensures extended usage, and the inclusion of a Type-C 10W charger allows for quick and convenient charging.

Capture your moments with impressive cameras

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the 13 MP Dual AI Rear Camera, which promises to capture stunning photos with ease. Even in low light, the 5MP front camera and screen flash guarantee clear, bright selfies. Whether it’s landscapes or portraits, the Yuva 2 aims to deliver impressive results.

Lava has not compromised on practicality either. The Yuva 2 features a side fingerprint scanner for secure and easy access. Moreover, the phone comes with anonymous auto-call recording and dual microphones for noise cancellation, ensuring a seamless communication experience. Running on Android 12, the Yuva 2 offers a clean and bloatware-free Android experience. Lava has committed to providing one Android upgrade and quarterly security updates for two years, keeping the device up-to-date.

Customer-centric approach

To further sweeten the deal, Lava promises ‘free service at home’ for all customers during the phone’s warranty period, ensuring peace of mind and convenience in case of any issues.

While the Redmi 12 series offers an AdaptiveSync display with higher resolution, peak brightness, and a 90Hz refresh rate, it starts at a higher price point of Rs 8,999. The Lava Yuva 2’s aggressive pricing makes it an attractive option for those seeking a feature-packed budget smartphone.

Color options

The Lava Yuva 2 is available in three elegant color options – glass blue, glass lavender, and glass green, allowing users to choose a device that matches their style and preferences.
