INDIA: The leading lady of Telugu cinema, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and the charming star Vijay Deverakonda, who united in the project Kushi, finally disclosed the release date of their film.
The final date is revealed via a heartwarming poster, where both the actors are seen holding each other’s hands in two different backgrounds. The makers decided to bring the much-awaited film in front of the audience on September 1st, 2023.
The poster says, “The two worlds will meet on September 1st, 2023,” Samantha shared the poster on her Twitter handle and called the film “Whole Heart.” Vijay, on the other hand, shared the poster on his personal profile.
Kushi will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. The romantic comedy film is directed by Shiva Nirvana. The film also has Jayaram, Sachin Khedekar, Murli Sharma, Lakshmi, Ali, Rohini, Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ramakrishna, Srikanth Iyengar, and Saranya in crucial roles.
Talking about the film, Kushi was slated to release on December 23 of last year. However, Samantha’s sudden health issues brought a slight delay in the release.
Samantha has been diagnosed with a rare auto-immune skin ailment known as “Myositis”. Post the disclosure of the health issue, Sam took a break from her work, and amid her treatment, she resumed the shoot.
She arrived in Hyderabad for the filming on March 8, Women’s Day, and was greeted with a great surprise by the crew. The entire team gave her a warm welcome with a cake and lots of love.
After Mahanti in 2018, Kushi saw Samantha and Vijay Deverakonda’s second collaboration. Netizens loved their chemistry, and now the new release will bring them even closer to the audience.
Besides Kushi, Samantha will also star along side Varun Dhawan in the Indian version of Citadel. Vijay Deverakonda is set to feature in Gowtam Tinnanuri directorial VD12.
