INDIA: The much-anticipated wedding of Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul is happening in the coming days, and the preparations have begun in full swing. Meanwhile, the paparazzi got a glimpse of delight at KL Rahul’s residence in Mumbai.
The entire building is decked out with lights, with beautiful hanging lights giving us good vibes. Indian cricketer KL Rahul is set to tie the knot with Suniel Shetty’s daughter, Athiya Shetty, at the Jahaan mansion in Khandala.
The wedding rituals will commence on January 21, followed by the other two days, and finally, on January 23, the grand affair will happen.
As per reports, Athiya’s closest female friend and actor, Akanksha Ranjan, will make her presence count. However, an inside source revealed that the wedding would be a close-knit affair with only family and a few close friends. “Only friends and family members will be a part of the wedding. It’s likely that you may not see many industry peeps,” says a close source.
However, as per the recent update, the Shetty family is very excited about their daughter’s wedding and plans to surprise her with a dance performance.
Sunil Shetty, his wife, Mana Shetty, and his son, Ahaan, will perform on Athiya’s movie songs to make her feel special. The wedding is expected to be in a traditional South Indian style.
The groom-to-be and bride-to-be have dated each other for four years. They have been accompanying each other in many places. Many cosy pictures of the couple make the rounds on the internet, and fan pages often post their adorable photos. Several sites even show them exchanging their T-shirts and other belongings.
The cricketer also attended the premiere of his brother-in-law Ahan’s debut film Tadap in 2021 and has accompanied the Shetty family in many places. Currently, Rahul is on leave from Indian cricket and will be back after his marriage.
