INDIA: Khuda Haafiz: Chapter II Agni Pariksha is an action-thriller film that marks the second iteration of Khuda Haafiz. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Chapter I was released on Disney+ Hotstar in 2020, while the sequel debuted with the theatrical premiere.
Faruk Kabir’s directorial vision adds Vidyut Jammwal to the forefront while adding Shivaleeka Oberoi, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, and Sheeba Chaddha to the pivotal roles. Abhishek Pathak, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Sneha Bimal Parekh, and Ram Mirchandani produced the action-thriller across production company Panorama Studios.
Khuda Haafiz 2 opens with a sluggish track but later picks up speed at the box office
According to Box Office India, the Vidyut Jammwal-starrer managed to earn ₹1.25 crores on its first day, which is rather minimal for an action-thriller. The film’s box office earnings on Saturday were similar to its opening day, which slowed the film’s progress.
The film generated roughly ₹2.75 crores on Sunday, which was a good start compared to its previous receipts. However, the action-thriller fetched roughly ₹1.25 crores on its debut Monday, giving the film a net gross of nearly ₹7 crores. Based on the entire box office collection of the Vidyut Jamwal-starrer, it appears that the action-packed thriller accelerates substantially.
Khuda Haafiz 2 debuted on July 11 with an estimated capacity of 9.90 per cent across the Hindi belt. At this rate, the picture risks following in the footsteps of disastrous action thrillers such as Aditya Kapoor’s Rashtra Kavach OM, Tiger Shroff’s Heropanti 2, and Kangana Ranaut’s Dhakkad.
In terms of action scenes, the Vidyut Jamwal-starring action-thriller stands out significantly from all the recently released action thrillers. The vengeance drama triumphs over recent action movies in accordance to the plot with violent combat scenes. The story also surpasses in every manner of its sequel, which deals with a darker and more horrific theme.
