INDIA: The most famous actor of B town, Kartik Aaryan, is the new male lead for the evergreen Aashiqui sequel. The Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 actor is ready to gear up in Anurag Basu’s directorial Aashiqui 3. The renowned Anurag Basu, best known for his movie Barfi, will now be seen directing the third instalment of Aashiqui’s franchise.
Kartik Aaryan said, “I grew up watching the timeless classic Aashiqui, so getting to work on Aashiqui 3 is like fulfilling a lifelong dream! I feel privileged and appreciate working with Bhushan Sir and Mukesh Sir. I’ve always been a huge fan of Anurag Sir’s work and working with him on this project has influenced me greatly.”
The epic Aashiqui 2 ruled back in 2013, and the songs from the movie continued to pour love into everyone’s lives. The second sequel starred Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapoor in the lead, and their on-screen chemistry left a benchmark for the entire generation.
Mukesh Bhatt bankrolls the upcoming Aashiqui 3, and he said, “Evening of 16th August 1990, a day before Aashiqui’s release, Gulshanji and I were very nervous, the next day records were broken, and history was created. Today with Bhushan, Pritam, Anurag and the heartthrob of the nation Kartik Aaryan, I assure everyone that Aashiqui 3 will celebrate love like never before.”
Bhushan Kumar, the film’s composer, comments on the upcoming mega-hit movie as follows: “It’s time to relive the movies whose plots and soundtracks left a lasting impression on us! We are thrilled to announce Aashiqui 3, which will be produced by Mukesh Ji and directed by Dada Anurag Basu, one of my all-time favorite filmmakers.
