INDIA: Karthikeya 2 opened on the big screen on August 13, 2022. The film launched on a small number of screens in the Hindi belt but appears to be performing strongly at the box office. The film was also released worldwide, where it earned nicely at the box office in the United States.
Karthikeya 2 experienced huge growth at the box office
The film has completed its three-day box office run, indicating that it has begun to amass respectable numbers. According to several box office sources, the Hindi version grossed ₹ 1.25 crores nett. Previously, the action-adventure movie was released on 60 screens throughout the Hindi belt. Based on the overwhelming response from the public on day two, the number of programs was expanded to almost 300 screens.
Taran Adarsh also tweeted the Hindi dubbed collection of Karthikeya 2. The tweet read, ‘’#Karthikeya2 – dubbed in #Hindi – is creating noise in the #Hindi market, despite [i] releasing on Sat, [ii] facing giants like #LSC and #RB and [iii] showcasing at veryyy few screens/shows… Sat 7 lacs, Sun 28 lacs. Karthikeya 2 earned ₹ 88 lakhs on day three in the Hindi belt, as per Sacnilk.com. Looking at the day one and day two data, the films appear to be functioning great at the box office. In the Telugu version, the movie is gaining hit numbers. On day three, the film grossed ₹ 6.19 crores. The entire collection of the film is currently ₹ 17.9 crores.
Karthikeya 2 grossed $450k in just two days at the United States box office. The film also showed over 1000 sold-out shows across the country. The overseas collection is also in, with the film earning approximately ₹ 6 crores on day three.
Theatre occupancy on Telugu screens is also at an all-time high, at 71 per cent. The feature is generating a lot of buzz among viewers as the number of days at the box office grows.
Karthikeya 2 is also competing with big films such as Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha and Akshay Kumar starrer Raksha Bandhan. Despite competing with major Bollywood movies, the film managed to maintain its box office position. The film also received a lot of appreciation from the audience, making it Nikhil Siddharth’s career’s biggest hit.
