UNITED STATES: American rapper Kanye West, who has been rolling into the headlines for all the wrong reasons in the past few months, is again wrapped in controversy. He was recently accused of showing provocative photos and videos of his ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
According to former employees of Yeezy and Adidas, Kanye showed them a picture of Kim Kardashian during a job interview in 2018.
As per reports, Adidas ended up their collaboration with the rapper the last month over his anti-Semitic rants. The global brand claimed that Kanye had created a toxic work environment for everyone during his partnership tenure.
Meanwhile, one company employee recalled the incident and went on record saying, during the interview, Kim exposed his ex-wife’s intimate picture and said, “My wife just sent me this,” he even briefed that it was “very revealing and personal.” Eventually, another from the creative team at Yeezy informed about the same incident, which occurred in 2021, the same year the couple filed for their divorce.
The loyalist of Adidas also mentioned the rapper’s behavior towards the woman employees, “a very sick pattern of predatory behavior toward women.” Some employees even claimed that he played adult films during the meeting time; he even discussed his bedtime stories and showed his own sex tapes in front of the whole staff.
A worker also stated, “He wanted to continue to use his power to violate you quietly and threaten your role and existence within the team.”
In a complaint letter, an employee of Adidas wrote, “responsibility, accountability, and protection that Adidas failed to provide their employees throughout what we experienced as years of verbal abuse, vulgar tirades, and bullying attacks.”
Pete Fox, former president of Yeezy taking a dig at West, said, “In high fashion, there’s a lot of sexy, controversial things that maybe they reference or look at, as opposed to a company like Adidas where you would never show any nudity in a mood board.”
