INDIA: After shattering box office records, Rishab Shetty’s Kantara is gearing up for its OTT release. Yes! you read it correctly. The divine blockbuster is all set to release on Amazon Prime Video.
The streaming giant announced the release date, which shows the Kannada film’s arrival on November 24, 2022, i.e tomorrow.
Rishab Shetty’s directorial Kantara literally wreaked havoc at the box office by acting as a magnet factor for audiences. Opening to critical and commercial success, the mystical film now eyes towards OTT dominance.
Kantara is set to release on Prime Video
Prime Video India’s official Twitter handle announced the news. The streaming giant tweeted, “putting an end to all the wait!!! #KantaraOnPrime, out tomorrow @hombalefilms @shetty_rishab @VKiragandur @gowda_sapthami @AJANEESHB @actorkishore.”
In addition to the OTT release, the streaming platform also shared a new poster that featured Kannada star Rishab Shetty in action.
The Sandalwood actor is shown with the iconic gun from the movie, which has a special ability to fire from the front as well as its backside.
The poster showcased Kantara’s arrival in multiple languages. The film will be available to stream in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. The Hindi dub release date of the mystical feature has yet to be finalized, but it is expected to be unveiled soon.
The film is still creating ripples at the Hindi box office. This might be the reason that the makers have not revealed the Kannada film’s Hindi OTT debut date.
Speaking of the box office success of Kantara, the film has embarked on a record-breaking run since its release. On November 22, 2022, the mystical Kannada feature crossed the ₹ 400 crore milestone on a budget of ₹ 16 crore.

According to the tweet, the film has done superb business, raking in huge numbers. Dominating the box office with its pan-Indian release, the feature continues to rule millions of hearts.

- North India: ₹ 96 crores
- Andhra Pradesh and Telangana: ₹ 60 crores
- Kerala: ₹ 19.20 crores
- Tamil Nadu: ₹ 12.70 crores
- Overseas: ₹ 44.50 crores
- Total: ₹ 400.90 crores
