Arishadvarga is essentially a tale of lust, anger, love, greed, power, jealousy, mistaken identity and individual deficiencies. It’s a fatalistic noir tale of one man’s vain struggle to escape his own limitations, unfortunately, an impossibility in the world of noir.

Director Arvind Kamath says, “Who wants to know the truth and what would they do with that truth? Arishadvarga is a counter commentary on the fundamental tenet of 6 sins and its juxtaposition with the monomyth of a classical ‘Hero’s Journey’. It’s a nihilistic tale of an amateur gigolo, an alcoholic lonely cop and a contemporary woman married into a sexless relationship. It’s a concoction of their combined reaction against the system and the lives which they are forced to lead.”
