Acknowledging the stark contrast to the abbreviated Formula 2 races he was accustomed to, Vips affirmed that the endurance of an IndyCar event presented a unique challenge.

His hiatus from the sport over the past year further intensified the test, but the racer lauded the overall cleanliness of the race, barring a minor hiccup during the initial stint and pit stop.

However, Vips and his engineering team are set to dissect the performance and probe the elusive issue of struggling to attain optimal rear tire temperature throughout the stint.

Despite this setback, Vips maintained a positive outlook, emphasizing their accomplishment of securing a spot in the Leaders Circle, signifying a top-22 placement in the points.

Transitioning from Formula 2 to IndyCar, Vips acknowledged parallels in steering effort but identified significant divergences, including the introduction of overtaking opportunities and the nuanced management of track bars.

He underscored the crucial role of experience in mastering the intricacies of IndyCar racing, emphasizing the importance of preemptive strategy.

With eyes firmly fixed on the future, Vips expressed a keen interest in securing a full-time ride with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing next season, affirming his desire for more IndyCar action. As he embarks on this promising journey, Vips’s stellar debut sets the stage for an exciting chapter in his racing career.
