UNITED STATES: The most anticipated Jujutsu Kaisen movie has finally made it to Indian theatres after a protracted wait for anime enthusiasts. The anime film will hit Indian theatres on June 30th.
PVR announces the film’s release via Twitter
PVR pictures made the news official with a Twitter post regarding the release of Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie in India. The movie will only be available with English subtitles, according to the official poster. Prior PVR pictures included the images of upcoming films in IMAX, along with the poster of Jujutsu Kaisen 0. Later, the distributor told ANN that it still lacked the film’s rights.
The post read, “You’ve waited a long time for this one, Indian anime fans! Presenting the official posters for the highly anticipated anime film Jujutsu Kaisen O: The Movie. Make sure that you watch one of 2022’s biggest anime releases on the big screen! Releasing in cinemas on 30th June!”
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 triumphs at the box office
On December 24, 2021, Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie made its theatrical debut in Japan. The anime movie debuted in the United States on March 18, 2022, and is planning to play in other countries all year. With a staggering $189 million at the global box office and a ranking as the 8th highest-grossing anime feature, the movie can be described as a box office juggernaut.
In addition to Jujutsu Kaisen 0’s theatrical premiere, the anime series will have its YouTube debut on Ani-One Asia’s channel on June 24 at 3:30 PM. Until July 21 in India, fans can stream the anime for free. So, it’s favourable for Indian anime enthusiasts who haven’t watched the series.
Jujutsu Kaisen anime series chronicles the life of Yuji Itadori and takes him on a supernatural joyride with his quest to find and consume all the fingers of the powerful Curse Ryomen Sukuna. Based on the manga of the same name by Gege Akutami, the series served as a hit anime with its release.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie is a prequel to the events of the anime series produced and distributed by the behemoths of the anime industry, MAPPA and Toho. The anime film follows the narrative of Yuta Okkotsu, who wields a grasp over an extremely powerful, cursed spirit that lands him in the Jujutsu High. This embarks Yuta on his quest to master his power with the aid of the strong sorcerers in his immediate vicinity.
