INDIA: The Suicide Squad, directed by James Gunn, is all set for a superb start on Rotten Tomatoes, with early reviews pouring in.
On Wednesday (July 28), Rotten Tomatoes gave filmmaker James Gunn’s R-rated super-villain team-up movie a perfect 100 percent Fresh rating. With more reviews to come in, the ratings may alter.

It may be presumptuous to classify a film as a hit. As with Wonder Woman 1984, which had a high rating on Rotten Tomatoes at first but subsequently dropped after further reviews, so hoping this will not happen again with The Suicide Squad.

With its bright visuals, adult comedy, and numerous R-rated sequences, the Suicide Squad teaser created a lot of buzz among DC (Detective Comics) fans. James Gunn is most recognized for his work on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 and 2. He was hired by Warner Bros studio after being fired from Disney for a provocative statement he made a decade ago. Later, he started working as a director on DC’s The Suicide Squad.

James Gunn is well-known for his imaginative use of obscure comic book characters, as proven by his prior works. In a previous interview, he stated that “Warner Bros studio offered him whatever he wanted.” Now that the issue has died down, he has been rehired by Disney to finish the third installment of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. As a result, he has become one of the few directors to collaborate with both Marvel and DC Comics. The film is considered a soft reboot of David Ayer’s Suicide Squad (2016).
