Jaish-e-Mohammad Terrorist Killed in Encounter in J&K’s Shopian

The alleged terrorist has been identified as a foreigner, Kamran Bhai alias Hanees

INDIA. Jammu and Kashmir: The encounter in the Kapren area was triggered after a joint team of police and security forces received input about the presence of terrorists. During the encounter, one terrorist member was killed early on Friday. After the area was cordoned off, terrorists hiding there started firing, drawing retaliation from the security forces.

Both security forces and local police fought during the encounter. The alleged terrorist has been identified as a foreigner, Kamran Bhai alias Hanees. The search operation is still underway at the encounter site.

Meanwhile, ADGP, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar took to his Twitter and wrote, “One FT of JeM #terror outfit killed, identified as Kamran Bhai @Hanees who was active in #Kulgam-#Shopian area. Search is still going on.” 

Recently, four terrorists, including a top LeT commander, were killed in twin operations in South Kashmir. Moreover, three terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Pulwama’s Khandipora area in Awantipora; one was killed on the spot in Anantnag.

More than three terrorists were earlier killed in an encounter along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district.
