INDIA: The megastar of Kollywood, Thalaivar Rajnikanth is back with a bang. The actor’s latest Jailer second single, “Hukum”, took social media by storm. However, the song got a launch on July 17, and within a day, the tune won a million hearts. The lyrics were written by Super Subu.
Previously, the song “Kaavaalaa” from the movie got trending, which featured Tamannaah Bhatia and Rajinikanth dancing to the electrical beats.
The movie is helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The high-octane movie has Rajinikanth, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Sunil, Shiva Rajkumar, and Yogi Babu in lead roles. The movie is set to release on August 10, 2023.
Hukum song showcases Rajinikanth as the mass hero, as the actor’s voice fits the serious mood of the song. The music video is filled with several callbacks to Rajinikanth’s career. Alongside the song, Hukum blurs the lines between the actor and the character.
The movie got into trouble with its name. The makers of a Malayalam film claimed to have a movie of the same name and have asked that the Nelson Dilip Kumar movie’s name be changed. Thereby, the movie Jailer would only have a new title, at least in Kerala.
Jailer is Rajinikanth’s 169th film, and he will feature as the stylish jailer Muthuvel Pandian in it.
The film has high hopes attached to it because of the association of a talented star cast. The project is bankrolled by Sun Pictures, which earlier produced Rajnikanth’s 2021 release Annatthe.
As of now, a few posters and two songs have been released from the upcoming movie, which has skyrocketed anticipation for the teaser or trailer release.
Given the two single releases, it is expected that a teaser will arrive soon as the film is approaching its debut date.
