INDIA: In connection with the alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar’s Rs 200 Crore Extortion Case, popular actor Jacqueline Fernandez was held guilty of actively supporting him in the crime.
The Vikrant Rona actor allegedly accepted lavish gifts from conman Sukesh before becoming aware of his illegitimate possessions. Meanwhile, the Additional Sessions Judge Shailender Malik brought a response to the table from the ED on the bail plea of Jacqueline, which states that the actor’s lawyer requested the jurisdiction to grant interim bail to Jacqueline on a bond of 50,000.
Delhi’s Patiala House Court approved the interim bail for the actor. However, the next hearing date for the case is fixed for October 22, 2022.
The central probe agency had filed a supplementary charge sheet before the Prevention of Money Laundering Act court, accusing the actor. In the recent past, the famous actor was interrogated by the Delhi Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) regarding the money trail of the gifts given by the prime accused.
The whole list of gifts is brought from pen to paper. On the other hand, Fernandez’s stylist, Leepakshi Ellawadi, was interrogated by the Economic Offences Wing of Delhi Police for nearly eight hours in connection with the case.
Later, she confirmed that she too accepted gifts from Sukesh and informed the corps that Chandrashekhar used to woo Jacqueline with branded clothes and fashion statements. She also said that the actor broke all ties with the conman after the arrest.
During the long-hour investigation, an incident came to light which stated that a motorcycle was gifted to Fernandez’s agent Prashant on his birthday, but he refused to take it. Chandrashekhar then left the two-wheeler and its keys at Prashant’s place forcibly.
The alleged conman is accused of cheating many high-profile people around the city, such as former Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh’s wife, Aditi Singh, and many more.
