Italy Beats Spain In The Euro 2020 Semi-Final Match

UNITED KINGDOM: Italy defeated Spain in a nail-biting semi-final to secure their spot in the finals of Euro 2020. The Italian side defeated their opponent in a penalty shootout (4-2) at Wembley Stadium, London. Italy is still undefeated in this edition of Euro Cup 2020 and they will face the winner of England vs Denmark in the finals.

Spain had possession of the ball for most of the match (71%), whereas Italy had (29%) possession of the ball during the match. Both the teams were trying hard to find a goal for their team but they failed to do so and the score was 0-0 after the first half of the match.

At the 60th min of the 2nd half, Federico Chiesa of Italy scored the opening goal for Italy and the first goal of the match. At 80th min Álvaro Morata of Spain scored a goal to level the score 1-1.

During the extra time, Italy scored a goal but it was declared offside by the match referee.

After the completion of extra time, the result of the match was to be declared by a penalty shootout. Both Italy and Spain missed their first chance during the penalty shootout but after that Italy scored all the four remaining shots while Spain scored 2 goals and missed 1 and after the penalty shootout the final score was 4-2. The man of the match of this semi-final was Federico Chiesa.
