Amte was dealing with personal and professional stress for some time. A few weeks ago, Amte had posted a video on her Facebook account in which she had made some serious allegations against Maharogi Sewa Samiti (MSS) and her family. However, the video was deleted a couple of hours later.

Amte was working as Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of Maharogi Sewa Samiti (MSS) in Warora. The allegations which were made by Sheetal Amte were later refuted by her family. On November 24, the Amte family gave a joint testament in which they refused all the allegations made by her. The statement had signatures of her parents Dr. Vikas and Dr. Bharati Amte.
