Toss and Mumbai Indians’ innings

CSK was marred by last week’s withdrawal of their experienced players Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh. In yesterday’s match, CSK won the toss and elected to field first. It was a batting-friendly wicket. However, CSK still chose to bowl first.

MI began their innings with a good start. The first wicket fell when Rohit mistimed his shot and was caught at mid-off for 12. De-Cock followed him immediately to the pavilion for 33(22 balls, five 4s). Saurabh Tiwary played some good shots before holding out to a brilliant catch my Faf Duplessis for 42(30 balls, three 4s, one 6).

CSK began their inning in a disastrous manner. They lost two of their openers very cheaply. But the partnership between Rayudu and Faf Duplessis stabilized the inning by their more than 100 runs partnership.
