Rear Admiral McCarty also met with Sunjay Sudhir, the Ambassador of India to the UAE, providing updates on the exercise’s scope, execution, and the roadmap for naval cooperation between India and UAE.

The Ambassador highlighted that the presence of these two ships for the naval exercise signifies the burgeoning Defense ties between India and UAE, steered by the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two nations.

INS Visakhapatnam, commanded by Captain Ashok Rao, stands as one of the Indian Navy’s largest operational destroyers.

Notably, it is an indigenous warship crafted by Mazagaon Docks Limited in Mumbai. On the other hand, INS Trikand, under the command of Captain Pramod G Thomas, is an advanced stealth frigate commissioned in 2013.

The ship embodies contemporary design principles and incorporates state-of-the-art technology to ensure stability, stealthiness, speed, and strength in its capabilities.
