INDIA: The Leading lady of the South Film industry, Trisha Krishnan, has ruled the hearts of her fans with her roles for decades now. The actress turned a year older as she celebrates her birthday today. The beauty pageant of the 90s has had a remarkable journey in the entertainment industry.

The actress of Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus’ Ponniyin Selvan’ is currently enjoying the movie’s success and absorbing all the attention from admirers. Through portraying the character of ‘Ilaiya Piratti’ Kundavai in PS-2, Trisha once again proved her mettle to the world.

The actress turned 40 years old, and her fandom is growing with her age. She signed six big projects, which appear to be major titles from Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam Cinema, set to deliver a promising performance from the actress.

The much-anticipated film of Trisha is Leo, where she will appear opposite Thalapathy Vijay for the first time in 15 years. The film is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The action thriller is the actress’s fifth collaboration with the Tamil superstar Vijay after Ghilli (2004), Thirupaachi (2005), Aathi (2006), and Kuruvi (2008). Surprisingly, Leo marks the 67th film for both Trisha and Vijay.

Trisha’s second is a Malayalam film, where she will share screen space with versatile actor Mohanlal in Ram: Part 1, directed by Drishyam fame Jeethu Joseph. According to reports, Trisha will be playing the role of a doctor. The movie will be released in two parts. However, the release date is yet to be disclosed.

In the forthcoming, Trisha will be seen in a revenge action drama, The Road. The film will also star Santhosh Prathap, known for Cooku with Comali. The revenge drama will also have Shabeer Kallarakkal, popular for his role of “Dancing Rose” in Sarpatta Parambarai. Arun Vaseegaran will be the man in the director’s chair, which will mark his directorial debut.

Increasing the excitement level, Trisha is gearing up for her web series in the Telugu film industry. Her arrival in the OTT world will be set in motion with the series Brinda. She will be seen donning the role of a police officer. She is taking up such a challenging role for the very first time. The film will be streaming on SonyLIV. 

Recently, Trisha and Arvind Swami joined hands in the film Sathuranga Vettai 2. Moreover, she will be seen in Garjanai, which is a remake of Anushka Sharma starrer NH 10.
