UNITED STATES: The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special bagged an official trailer. Marvel’s latest television special is set to arrive next month, and ahead of its debut, the makers have shared a unique glimpse of the upcoming show.
James Gunn added his creative vision to the show, which brings all the Guardians back together after Thor: Love and Thunder. The holiday special stars Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star Lord, Vin Diesel as Groot, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Sean Gunn as Kraglin, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, and Pom Klementieff as Mantis.
Besides the main team members, a special Hollywood star has joined the show, which includes Kevin Bacon as himself. From the trailer, it appears that the Guardians are set to kidnap Kevin in a hilarious manner.
On October 26, 2022, Marvel Studios’ official Twitter handle shared the trailer with fans. The tweet read, ‘’This holiday season is going to be out of this world. Watch the brand-new trailer for Marvel Studios’ Special Presentation: The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, streaming November 25 only on @DisneyPlus’’.
Marvel’s special representation will be centered around Christmas as evident from the intro dialogues and theme of the trailer. We also hear Mantis’s dialogue, ‘’Peter’s so sad about Gamora being gone.’’ From the statement, it appears that the show might introduce Gamora, which is now kept a mystery.
The clip also features the Guardians going to Earth after Avengers: Endgame. The film, however, didn’t give us much interaction of the intergalactic team with humans except the Avengers. It will be interesting to see how the superheroes interact. The unique representation will also hint at The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Marvel has recently planned a very unique concept for presenting superheroes. The studio had earlier released Werewolf by Night as the first holiday special on Halloween. The horror-action show turned out to be highly successful for its brutal action scenes and proper use of practical effects.
The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special also lands as the latest title in a special presentation after Werewolf by Night. How the show turns out will only unveil with its release on November 25, 2022.
