UNITED STATES: In celebration of International Yoga Day 2024, the Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO), in collaboration with Emmy-nominated filmmaker and Happy Life Yoga speaker Tirlok Malik, Indian Panorama, and the Indian American Forum, will host a dynamic and informative yoga event. The theme for this year’s event is “There are challenges and hardships in life, but how you let them go and laugh at life?” The event will feature a distinguished panel of speakers and promises to be engaging, educational, and inspiring.

The event will feature a diverse panel of speakers including Dr. Thomas Abraham, Professor Indrajit Saluja, Indu Jaiswal, Anil Narang, Lal Motwani (GOPIO International President), Neeta Bhasin, Dr. Renee Mehra, Deborah Fishman, Neha Lohia, Priti Dhariwal, Dr. Tara Shajan, and Dr. Bhuvan Lall. Tirlok Malik is a New York-based Indian-American filmmaker, restaurateur, and the creator of Happy Life Yoga. His work has inspired many to lead balanced, happy, and healthy lives. Malik has produced numerous films since 1990, starting with the pioneering film about Indian Americans, “Lonely in America.” He continues to make multicultural films in the US and India and currently has several projects in development.

Last year, the Consulate General of India in New York, in association with GOPIO Manhattan, once again organized the Happy Life Yoga event. The virtual gathering attracted wide participation from both experts and practitioners, who shared their enriching experiences with yoga, emphasizing its benefits and importance in fostering a balanced, healthy lifestyle.
