UNITED ARAB EMIRATES: Royal Challengers Bangalore defeats Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets. Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and they decided to field first. Bangalore had one change in their team as Kyle Jamieson was replaced by the debutant George Garton. Rajasthan Royals also had one change in their team as Jaydev Unadkat was replaced by Kartik Tyagi.

Evin Lewis and Yashasvi Jaiswal opened the innings for Rajasthan Royals. Both of them were looking in great touch. Evin and Jaiswal were scoring runs at a pretty fast rate and after 6 overs Rajasthan Royals was 56/0. Royal Challengers Bangalore got their first breakthrough in the form of Yashasvi Jaiswal. Jaiswal scored 31 off 22 deliveries which included 3 fours and 2 sixes. Dan Christian was the one who took the wicket of Jaiswal and when Jaiswal got out Rajasthan Royal’s score was 77/1 after 8.2 overs.

After the fall of Jaiswal, the in-form Sanju Samson came out to bat. He tried to build a partnership with Evin Lewis but the debutant George Garton took the wicket of Lewis and after 11.1 overs Rajasthan was 100/2. Evin Lewis played a brilliant knock of 58 runs off 37 deliveries which included 5 fours and 3 massive sixes. After Lewis got out Royal Challengers Bangalore kept putting the pressure on Rajasthan Royals and because of that Rajasthan Royals kept losing quick wickets.

Rajasthan skipper got out after scoring 19 off 15 deliveries and after that Mahipal Lomror, Liam Livingstone, Riyan Parag, and Rahul Tewatia all got out in single-digit scores. In the end, Chris Morris scored 14 runs and after 20 overs Rajasthan scored 149/9. For Royal Challengers Bangalore, Harshal Patel took 3 wickets, Yuzvendra Chahal and Shahbaz Ahmed took 2 wickets each while Daniel Christian and George Garton took 1 wicket each.

Royal Challengers Bangalore needed 150 runs in 20 overs to win the game. Virat Kohli and Devdutt Paddikal were opening the batting for Bangalore. Virat Kohli was looking in great touch. Devdutt Paddikal and Virat Kohli started bashing the Royals bowler right from the start. Mustafizur Rahman gave Rajasthan Royals their first breakthrough as he got rid of Devdutt Paddikal and after 5.2 overs Bangalore was 48/1. Paddikal scored 22 off 17 deliveries which included 4 fours.

After that Srikar Bharat came out to bat and joined the Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli in the middle. Just when the batting powerplay ended Virat Kohli got run out and after 6.5 overs Royal Challengers Bangalore was 58/2. Virat Kohli was a bit hesitant to take the run initially, but he goes for it and has to pay the price for it. After Virat Kohli got out, Glenn Maxwell and Srikar Bharat put on a 69 runs partnership to take the game away from Rajasthan Royals. Srikar Bharat got out after playing a brilliant knock of 44 off just 35 deliveries which included 3 fours and a six.

After Bharat got out, Bangalore was 127/2 after 16 overs. Bangalore needed 23 runs off 24 deliveries to win the game. When Chris Morris came out to bowl the 17th over, Glenn Maxwell destroyed Morris by hitting him for 22 runs in just 6 deliveries which included 3 fours and a six. After that Ab De Villiers scored a boundary at the very first ball of his innings to help Royal Challengers Bangalore defeat Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets.
