INDIA: In addition to the F 850 GS and F 850 GS Adventure, BMW has introduced the 2023-spec BMW R 1250 GS and R 1250 GS Adventure in India.
The motorcycles now have a fresh coat of paint thanks to the model-year update. Notably, there has also been a price increase for some models, which will take effect on December 27, 2022.
The new Style GS Trophy package for the 2023 R 1250 GS and R 1250 GS Adventure comes with Gravity Blue metallic paint, replacing the Edition 40 Years GS colour scheme.
Style Triple Black and Style Rallye remain available for both motorcycles alongside the new colour. On the other hand, Ice Grey and Light White are no longer available in the country.
The Style Triple Black R 1250 GS includes cross-spoke wheels, and the Style Rallye and new GS Trophy paint come standard with a passenger kit.
Notably, the R 1250 GS and GS Adventure share the same exterior design as their predecessors.
A 1,254cc liquid-cooled, flat-twin engine powers the flagship adventure motorcycles, producing 136 PS at 7,750 rpm and 143 Nm of torque at 6,250 rpm. This engine is mated to a six-speed transmission.
Additionally, the two motorbikes receive a 6.5-inch TFT colour display, LED lights, ABS Pro, traction control, and three riding modes, among other features. Sport, Eco, and Rain Hill Start Assistance, a USB Charging Port, and Other Features
The Ducati Multistrada V4, Triumph Tiger 1200, and Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 are all competitors for the BMW R 1250 GS and GS Adventure.
The F 850 GS Adventure costs the same, but the 2023 model is now costlier by Rs 45,000 than the previous model.
Both motorcycles include a brand-new Style GS Trophy with Gravity Blue metallic paint.
The F 850 GS Adventure is still available with the Style Rallye package, which includes racing blue metallic paint.
The F850 GS is available with Style Triple Black paint and the Style Rallye package, which includes gold-anodized rims and Kalamata metallic matte colour.
The F 850 GS and F 850 GS Adventure, like the flagship BMW adventure models, are also loaded with features.
The bikes come equipped, among other things, with ABS, automatic stability control, riding modes and riding modes pro, LED headlights, and a 6.5-inch colour display.
The bikes also have traction control, dynamic electronic suspension adjustment, keyless riding, an adjustable foot brake, adjustable clutch and gear levers, and a gear shift assistant pro.
An 853cc, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder motor powers the 850 GS bikes. The six-speed gearbox mates with the powerful engine to deliver an impressive amount of power. At 6,250 rpm, this engine generates 92 Nm of torque and 95 PS at 8,250 rpm.
The Ducati Multistrada V2, Kawasaki Versys 1000, Triumph Tiger 850 Sport, and Tiger 900 are the competition for the F 850 GS and GS Adventure.
