INDIA: Adivi Sesh starrer G2 (Goodachari 2) is back with an exciting update. Sesh’s spy actioner now gears up for global adventures.
The highly talented filmmaker and actor Adivi Sesh has given remarkable films since the beginning of his career. In 2022, the actor appeared in Major and HIT: The Second Case, which embarked on a commercially successful run at the box office.
Now, Sesh is back to kick off 2023 with the G2 announcement. The film serves as a sequel to the box office behemoth Goodacahri (2018). The first film laid the foundation for Agent 116’s (Adivi Sesh) origin story, and the recently released clip from the sequel aims to expand his story to a new level.
G2 Pre-vision glimpse showcases Agent 116 back in action
Adivi Sesh shared the Pre-vison clip on Twitter. The Telugu star tweeted, “#G2 MASSIVE Pre Vision is here. Telugu : Hindi : Kannada : Tamil : Malayalam. A Film that Spans Continents. A Spy who Fights for his Country. 116 is HERE. #Goodachari2.”
G2 Pre Vision clips take us on an action ride with an opening shot of icy mountains. The video opens with a snippet from Goodachari’s mid-credit scene, in which Agent 112 is assigned a mission in Russia that has most viewers excited for the events to come in the sequel.
The video reads “FROM THE PEOPLE WHO BROUGHT YOU KARTHIKEYA-2, MAJOR, THE KASHMIR FILES. THE BLOCKBUSTER SOUT INDIAN FRANCHISE GOODACHARI COMES TO HINDI.”
All the info revealed in the clip points out that Sesh will not direct G2, but he will play the lead, reprising the role of Agent 116. For the unknown, Sesh’s work in the director’s chair is simply phenomenal, which is evident from Goodachari. The actor has not only directed the first part but also penned the story and screenplay.
His repertoire of filmmaking didn’t end there; he has also penned the story of another profitable Telugu film, Kshanam (2016), while playing the lead. The film was later remade in Bollywood as Baaghi 2.
Adivi Sesh’s absence from the director’s chair will be handled by Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi. The filmmaker has previously worked with Sesh in Goodachari as the first assistant director and associate editor. He has also joined the filming team of Major as editor and first assistant director.
Abhishek Agarwal Arts, one of the most successful production houses in Telugu Cinema is set to bankroll G2. The production company has delivered major hits in 2022 which include The Kashmir Files, Karthikeya 2, and Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s Dhamaka.
G2 will hit big screens in a Pan-Indian format dubbed in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam. The release date of the much-awaited spy thriller is yet to be finalized.
