INDIA: The highly anticipated Amazon Prime original series, Four More Shots Please!, is finally back with a bang. The independent, confident, and fragile squad are back on the OTT screens.
The new season of Four More Shots Please!, is all about acceptance, nurturing passion and moving on towards a new path. The only thing that remained unchanged was the bond between the four girls. Through all the thick and thin, the unapologetically sanguine girls lay their shoulders against each other.
However, the season kicks off with an emotional note showcasing Siddhi’s father’s shocking demise. The whole Patel family went through an intense trauma yet managed to gather themselves with tenacity.
The season revolves around the lives of the four friends, who live life to the fullest on their terms. The plethora of stories show different shades of friendship having major setbacks on their personal fronts; they manage to share the last drink of the day at their favourite, Trunk Bar.
Whether it’s journalist Damini Rizvi Roy (Sayani Gupta), aspirant lawyer Anjana Menon (Kirti Kulhari), fitness trainer Umang Singh (Bani J), or stand-up comedian Siddhi Patel (Maanvi Gagroo), the girls rise above social convention.
Damini had a difficult time dealing with her miscarriage and the turmoil in her workplace last season, but this season, Jey shows his support for her and makes her feel safe.
Miss Menon’s life seems to be stuck in the past, which is impossible to ignore. Her ex-husband is incapable of managing his life, thus affecting the lives of Anjana and her present wife, Kavya. Whereas, Umang moved on with her life and started her fitness studio.
Perhaps, Siddhi is still dealing with her loss but has become more protective towards her widow mother, Sneha.
The Quad Squad never let any situation put down their sleeves nor their friendship. The only thing which never changed with this season of Four More Shots Please!, is the motion of cocktails.
The girls hit hard, slam and protect each other with a glass of champagne in their hands. The overprotective and rare bond of friendship is perfectly brought to the table by Joyeeta Patpatia.
