UNITED STATES: A mass shooting in Fort Worth, Texas, occurred just before midnight on the Fourth of July holiday, resulting in at least three deaths and eight injuries, according to officials. Police also said that the incident occurred after a local festival.

According to media reports, eight more individuals were hospitalised, but their statuses were unknown. One person was declared dead at the scene, two more died in the hospital. One victim was a kid, and ten of the victims were adults, according to sources.
A few hours after the neighbourhood’s yearly ComoFest had ended, a shooting took place in the Como neighbourhood of Fort Worth. The festival is a celebration of the Fourth of July holiday on which the United States celebrates its independence. It was not immediately clear why the shooting occurred or how many suspects were involved. There have been no detentions.
The cause of the mass shootings in the US is unclear, with the Fort Worth Police Department’s senior officer Shawn Murray stating it is too early to determine if it is gang- or domestic-related.
Mass shootings have become a significant issue, with over 340 mass shootings reported in 2023, according to the Gun Violence Archive.
According to local authorities, five people were killed, two were hurt, and a suspect was brought into custody in a separate shooting on Monday night in Philadelphia.
The shootings on Monday night occurred the day after a Baltimore, Maryland, neighbourhood block party where two people were shot dead and 28 others, including approximately half of them children, were injured in a hail of bullets. According to police, there were several suspects in the shooting.
