INDIA. Mumbai: Shahid Kapoor, a Bollywood actor, is presently enjoying the success of his OTT debut, Farzi, which has so far left the audience wanting. Raj & DK are the masterminds behind this Amazon Prime Video program. The performer who had attended the Zee Cine Awards 2023 now spoke and shared information about Farzi 2.
Shahid has consistently raised the calibre of his performance, and through films like Kabir Singh and Jab We Met, the actor has demonstrated his versatility. Alongside Vijay Sethupathi and Bhuvan Arora, Shahid’s part in the most recent OTT release has received a great deal of praise.
Meanwhile, during an event, when Kapoor was asked about the second installment of the series, he said, “I am sure there will be a Farzi season 2, but these things take time. It takes one-and-a-half to two years for post-production alone, with the series being dubbed in 35–40 languages and getting released in over 200 countries. When the shoot happens, it will take a further two years for release. So, I think there are still around two years left until the release of Farzi 2.”
On being asked about the massive success of Farzi, Shahid revealed that it took two years to complete the whole series within that the global pandemic caused a disturbance. “Bohut zyaada khushi hai ke logon ne itna pyaar diya hai. Humara expectations tha ke shayad Hindustan mein accha karega, but internationally it was number one. ( I felt very happy that people loved the series. I expected it to perform better in India however, the response was great Internationally.)”
