INDIA: Following Pathaan, the most anticipated film of 2023 is Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan, helmed by Atlee. Amid the grand success of the YRF’s spy thriller film, fans can’t hold onto their horses to watch SRK’s upcoming big-budget action movie.
However, pirated videos have been making rounds on the Internet all over as the actor was shooting for the film in Mumbai. The leaked clips have brought everyone to the edge of their seat, creating more hype for the upcoming movie.
Delhi High Court ordered social media networks to erase the Jawan content that had been leaked, putting a halt to the leaks. According to rumours, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s home production company, Red Chillies Entertainment Private Limited, have launched a lawsuit due to copyright concerns.
Thus, Justice C Hari Shankar passed the order to delete the circulating video of the film from various platforms like YouTube, Google, Twitter and Reddit. The court also asked them to stop making the video viral. The HC also asked the Internet service providers to prevent access to websites that featured or permitted downloading of Jawan’s copyrighted content.
As per reports, Shah Rukh’s company confirmed that two clips of Jawan were leaked on social media. The first clip showed Pathaan shooting for an action sequence, while the second one featured him and Nayanthara in a dance sequence.
According to reports, a part of the viral video shows the actor wearing a red suit which could spoil the anticipation of the film and is a clear violation of copyright/intellectual property rights. The sneak peek of the actors’ looks as well as the music, can severely damage the box office collection of the film.
Furthermore, King Khan is quite active on social media; knowing the current generational influence, he quite often interacts with fans to make them feel connected.
