INDIA: Deepika Padukone is one most popular and prominent actresses in Bollywood, and she has always drawn public attention to her work. The Padmavat actor always wears her heart on her sleeves, being bold, dynamic and passionate about her acting.
The most cherished actor of B-town never shies away from talking her heart out in public, especially about her mental healthcare.
Recently in an interview with Vogue Arabia, she talked about, “Mind and body issues”, recalling the toughest time of her life. The Gehraiyaan actor prioritises her mind and body over anything else and ever since she undone depression the actor never compromises her mental health.
Padukone, went on record saying, “You come into this world thinking that if you want to be a successful actor, you have to be all of these things. And then you discover along the way that you can also do it your way.” She confronted how her mental illness helped her in reaching“that level of awareness”.
Deepika when asked about her experience through the journey she explained it by saying, “I think that my experience with mental illness has brought me to this space today. I prioritise my mind and my body over everything else. Did it take an illness to bring me to that level of awareness? Yes. But I guess that’s what it is. Sometimes you need to go through those experiences to come out of something having learned something.”
The global star has seen many ups and downs in her personal life especially struggling through her love life before her marriage. Now, however, she seems to be in her comfort zone with Hubby Ranveer Singh.
On the work front, the Bajirao Mastani is last seen in the Amazon Prime, OTT project ‘Gehraiyaan’. But she is coming up with one most anticipated projects of the year ‘Pathaan’, alongside Shah Rukh and John Abraham.
