INDIA: The most eligible bachelor of Bollywood, Sidharth Malhotra, marks his presence in the industry with his debut film, “Student Of The Year.”
Sidharth Malhotra managed to display his acting prowess with the kinds of roles he portrayed on screen. The shining star’s 10-year journey serves as an inspiration to many on how an outsider built an empire for himself.
The career graph of Malhotra is like a roller coaster ride with major ups and downs. However, his consistency and dedication towards his movies make him a popular actor in today’s generation.
Initially, after Student of the Year’s huge success, Sidharth got a slow start on his professional front as his second movie, Hasee Toh Phasee, an urban rom-com story, didn’t catch the limelight. But, his major commercial success, Ek Villain, was a box office hit, which remains Sidharth’s highest theatrical grosser.
Sidharth Malhotra’s choice of movies is more inclined towards romantic love stories, which many times brings him criticism for the same role-play. Nevertheless, the movie Shershaah was a game-changer for the actor.
The biological film, based on the life of Kargil war hero Vikram Batra, was a huge success for him. Fans went gaga over his role in the movie and wanted to see him do more such parts.
Recently, the Marjawaan actor tried his hands on a comedy, which is about to be released on Diwali. The movie “Thank God” is made under the supervision of Indra Kumar and Sidharth shares the roof with the brilliant actor Ajay Devgn.
In a recent interview, the actor was asked why in his 10-year career he never opted for any comedy films. Sidharth said, “Maine apni saari bhadaas nikali hai iss film mein” (I have released every frustration through this movie).
Sidharth Malhotra further added, “It has been a very interesting experience. A filmmaker like Indra Kumar comes in who adds his flavour of commercial comedy to the film, and I got to work with Ajay Devgn and feed off his energy.”
Perhaps the new choice of the role is a new ball game for the Shershaah actor, but he has a long way to go.
