INDIA: Akshay Kumar and Rakul Preet’s upcoming OTT film ‘Cuttputlli’, is making buzz around the corner and ever since the release of the trailer fans went off showering their love on it.
The first song from the film ‘Saathiya’ got released, and instantly it became the new ‘love anthem’ of the town. The refreshing lyrics and ‘out of the box’ dance moves are taking a different lead from other love songs.
Rakul and Akshay’s onscreen chemistry is fresh and crisp thus, fans are anticipating a lot from the upcoming film. The movie ‘Cuttputlli’ is a crime thriller, where Khilari Kumar will be portraying the role of a cop.
The newly launched song, ‘Saathiya’ is sung by very talented Zahrah S Khan and Nikhil D’souza, whereas the music and lyrics are by Tanishk Bagchi. The song is shot in some amazing locations including some moves over the top of a plane and car. Both the actors are accompanied by background dancers which gives an illusion of group dancing.
The chemistry between the both is smooth like butter and as fresh as a blooming flower. Talking about the song, the leading lady of the song Rakul said, “Saathiya is one of my favourite songs from the film. I think it’s a very refreshing melody, it’s after a very long time I have heard a romantic melodious track. I truly believe that this will touch people’s hearts.”
In the release of the movie’s first song, Aksay said, “We had a massive set built in London for this one, from cars to aeroplanes to even hot air balloons, we had it all. Rakul and I enjoyed shooting this peppy romantic number. Tanishk has done an impressive job with the music of Saathiya.”
“It’s the tune that you will listen to while driving and even groove at a party, it will grow on you and before you know it you’re humming it. It’s one of my favourites from the album,” he added.
Lyricist Bagchi on the other hand said, “It was a different experience altogether to build this love song. I had a lot of fun producing this track along with the music supervisor Azeem Dayani, who added an African drop to this love song giving it a different feel than a typical Bollywood love song. Zahrah and Nikhil D’Souza’s voices add a fun yet soulful element to it. Saathiya has a very fun vibe and I hope that the audience enjoys this.”
The movie ‘Cuttputlli’ will be released over the OTT platform, exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar on 2nd September. The entire movie is helmed by Ranjit M Tewari and bankrolled by Vashu Bhagnani and Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh and Pooja Entertainment.
