UNITED STATES: #1 ranked welterweight in the world Colby Covington is all set to fight the current UFC welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman, in one of the most awaited and anticipated fights of this year.
This fight is all set to happen at UFC 268 on November 6 at Madison Square Garden. They will fight for the 2nd time against each other. The first time they fought against each other was on 15 December 2019 at UFC 245. That fight was considered as one of the best fights of all time and it is also said that the fight was the hardest fight of the champion Kamaru Usman’s career.
The first fight was very close and competitive. Usman broke Colby Covington’s jaw at the second round of the first fight between them. But still, Colby Covington won 2 rounds and before the start of the fifth round, the scores were equal. In the fifth round, Kamaru Usman finished Colby Covington by TKO but Colby said that he was fine and that was a bad stoppage.
After that loss, Colby Covington fought against the former welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. He defeated Woodley by TKO and now he is all set to face Kamaru Usman for the Welterweight Title. As everyone knows Colby Covington and #1 ranked Lightweight Dustin Poirier has a long and sordid history.

In a recent interview, Colby Covington said that after he beats Kamaru Usman and becomes the Welterweight Champion, he would love to fight Dustin Poirier. He said that “There’s only one fight to make after I destroy Marty Fakenewsman (Kamaru Usman) and dump him on his head and give him a wedgie, live at Madison Square Garden on November 6th.,” Covington said (h/t Low Kick MMA). “The only fight to make is me and Dustin ‘The Soy Boy’ Soyrier (Dustin Poirier). That’s the only fight guys. He and his family are Louisiana swamp trash. Him and his little jezebel of a wife. Him and his little kid that he uses as a prop like he’s a family man. The fake charity guy — which is a write-off for his business, that doesn’t donate that money to kids and people, he’s just using it as a tax write-off.“
He further added that I’ve seen him 50 times since then and he walked right away. He put his eyes down and he walked right past me like the good little b*tch that he is. So, I am Dustin ‘Doofus’ Soyrier’s daddy. His little jezebel of a wife, Jolie, his little prop for his family.
