About Kasparovchess

Co-financed by private investors and media conglomerate Vivendi, Kasparovchess will set itself apart from the concurrence as a platform where distinguished chess players will be able to more freely engage with people from all over the world. The platform itself is maintained by the France-based Vivendi-managed Keysquare corporation, whose CEO Louis Germain said, “Chess is entering a renaissance in pop culture and is becoming a fabric of the mainstream.

Proposing a lot of free resources, the platform will offer an individual monthly subscription of $13.99, and extra payments will be fixed for additional services such as one-on-one trainings and the likes. Apart from the possibility to book a lesson with particular players, access to resources is said to be organized in different learning modules and a complex hierarchy of video, podcasts and other materials such as a large database of human-made puzzles, analysis boards, and additional incentives through different draws, events, and contests. As a matter of fact, Kasparovchess is already organizing a pre-registration draw where users will have the chance to be selected for a direct chess session with Kasparov.

THE ANSWERS

Classic Author Nº1

Kasparovchess maintains a dedicated Discord server where one can signal bugs, suggest new features, challenge other players, play chess puzzles, and interact. Funny enough, when you click to join the server, it is Pierre Bezoukhov who invites you to join.

Pierre Bezukhov Count (Russian: Пьер Безу́хов) is a central fictional character and the main protagonist of Leo Tolstoy‘s 1869 novel War and Peace. Tolstoy based Pierre on himself more than any other War and Peace character.

Classic Author Nº2

At the age of 22, Garry Kasparov became the youngest world chess champion and twenty years later retired from public chess (2005). After his initial attempt to create an online platform in 1999, another period of twenty years separates him from this, hopefully successful, second endeavor called Kasparovchess.

Twenty Years After” is a novel of The d’Artagnan Romances by Alexandre Dumas, a sequel to The Three Musketeers that precedes The Vicomte de Bragelonne novel, which includes the sub-plot Man in the Iron Mask.

Here is a list of 100 classic authors (IMBD). Can you find more literary correlations with Garry Kasparov’s legacy? Share those with our readers so we all enjoy the creative quest.
