UNITED STATES: On March 4, Camila Cabello will release her first new song since her breakup with Shawn Mendes. Earlier this week, the singer teased fans on TikTok with a portion of the song titled “Bam Bam,” which features Ed Sheeran. After hearing the teaser clip, fans are convinced that the song is about Camila and Shawn’s breakup. However, there does not appear to be any resentment.

“You said you didn’t like the ocean, but now you’re surfing,” Camila sings. “I said I’d love you for the rest of my life, but I just sold our house.” Shawn has recently spent a lot of time in the water. His first Instagram post after his divorce from Camila was a photo of himself surfing. On the other hand, Shawn previously stated that deep water was his “biggest fear.” Meanwhile, Cabello sold her Hollywood Hills home, which she had owned for more than two years during her relationship with Shawn, for more than $4 million in December.

“We were kids at first; I guess we’re grown-ups now,” the song continues. Camila and Shawn were 22 and 20 when their friendship blossomed into a romantic relationship during the summer of 2019.
