INDIA. Mumbai: While actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra, arrested in a porn films case was released on bail, the crime branch of Mumbai police issued a lookout notice to his absconding aides- Yash Thakur alias Arvind Srivastava and Pradeep Bakshi on Tuesday.
Raj Kundra and his tech associate Ryan Thorpe were granted bail on the surety of Rs 50,000 on Monday. They were released from Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail amidst a large crowd of media personnel.
Kundra was arrested in connection with a porn films racket on July 19. According to crime branch officers he was planning to sell 119 adult films for Rs 9 crore. All 119 porn films were recovered from Kundra’s electronic devices like mobile, tablet, and a hard drive disk.
Last week, the Mumbai Police had filed a 1,400-page charge sheet in court listing charges against the businessman. On Saturday, Raj Kundra had appealed requested bail arguing that he was being made a “scapegoat.” His plea stated that there was no evidence in the charge sheet pointing that he was actively involved in creating porn content. In it, he also alleged that there is not a single allegation in the entire supplementary charge sheet against him being actively present or involved in any of the shootings of the videos. It further claimed that he was falsely implicated in the case.
Shilpa Shetty Kundra on Tuesday posted a motivational message on bouncing back in life as her husband, businessman Raj Kundra, walked out of a Mumbai jail after getting bail.
Taking to Instagram, she posted a picture of herself along with a quote from the Chinese philosopher Confucius. The quote read: “Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall”.
In the caption, the 46-year-old actress wrote, “There are always going to be moments that push you to the ground. In times like these, I truly believe that if you fall seven times, make Yourself strong enough to be able to stand back up eight times”.
