SOUTH KOREA: In a recent announcement, BTS agency BigHit Music revealed that Suga, whose real name is Min Yoongi, will commence his military service on September 22. This marks the third member of the globally acclaimed K-pop group to fulfill his mandatory duty, following Jin and J-Hope.

BigHit Music shared this news via the global fan community forum Weverse, emphasizing that there will be no official events on the day Suga starts his service or when he enters the training camp. Fans have also been urged not to visit Suga at his workplace during his service period, but rather express their support and encouragement in their hearts.

Furthermore, the agency cautioned fans to avoid unauthorized tours or package products that illegally use Suga’s intellectual property. BigHit Music affirmed its commitment to taking appropriate measures against any commercial activities infringing on the artist’s intellectual property rights.

In August, BigHit Music had previously disclosed that Suga had initiated the military enlistment process by applying for the termination of his enlistment postponement. The agency promised to keep fans informed of further updates and called for continued love and support for Suga throughout his military service.

Currently, Jin and J-Hope are already serving in the military, and the remaining members of BTS, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, will soon follow suit. The group anticipates reuniting around 2025 after fulfilling their service commitments, with fans eagerly awaiting their return.

As Suga embarks on this new chapter of his life, the BTS ARMY remains steadfast in their support, sending their heartfelt wishes for a safe and successful military service, eagerly counting down the days until the entire group can once again grace the stage together.
