UNITED STATES: Britney Spears’ ex-husband Jason Alexander was convicted of violating the law when he showed up at Spears’ home during her wedding in June without permission.

According to the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office, Alexander, age 40, entered a no contest plea on Thursday to the misdemeanour charges of violence and aggravated trespassing.

On June 9, Alexander was detained at Spears’ home after he unexpectedly attended her wedding ceremony when she married her longtime partner Sam Asghari.

Jason Alexander, Spears’ ex-husband, was detained and charged with trespassing and violence before the wedding, according to police, after gaining unauthorised access to the venue.

According to the authorities, Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the house in response to a trespassing report.

Alexander was eventually revealed to be the trespassing suspect, according to Sgt. Cyrus Zadeh of the county sheriff’s office.

Security challenged him when Alexander approached the singer’s property, and a fight broke out between him and two guards.
In the fight, both security personnel suffered injuries.

A security officer approached Alexander and attempted to eject him from the area. To enter the house, he assaulted the security guard and destroyed a door, according to the authorities.

Alexander was given credit for time served for the 64 days he had already spent in the Ventura County jail following his arrest, according to online court documents. A criminal protective order was also imposed against him, preventing him from approaching the two victims closer than 100 yards.

The prosecutor’s supervisory deputy, Erin Meister, expressed satisfaction with the outcome.

The victims prioritised the protection order because “the defendant accepted responsibility for what he did on June 9; he ultimately spent two months in jail,” according to Meister.

Spears and Alexander were wed for three days in 2004 before the union was dissolved.
