UNITED STATES: Bullet Train made its theatrical debut in India on August 4, 2022, one day before the United States release. On its first weekend, the action-comedy film opened with an excellent start.
Bullet Train is based on Kōtarō Isaka’s Japanese novel Maria Bitoru (Maria Beetle). Brad Pitt plays assassin “Ladybug,” who is hired to retrieve the suitcase on the world’s fastest train. Fate has crafted a devious strategy on his behalf that involves the deadliest killers in his seemingly effortless mission. Ladybug succeeds in his journey or falls victim to his misfortune forms the crux of the story.
David Leitch joins the director’s chair while starring Brad Pitt in the lead. Sandra Bullock, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Joey King, Brian Tyree Henry, Hiroyuki Sanada, Zazie Beetz, Karen Fukuhara, and Michael Shannon round up the ensemble in pivotal roles.
Bullet Train opened with a solid start at the box office
Bullet Train was released one day earlier in India than it was in the United States. Thor: Love and Thunder previously debuted one day before the global release in India. According to multiple box office sources, the Brad Pitt-starrer action-thriller collected $30.1 million in its first weekend in the United States, taking the top spot.
This week, the DC League of Super-Pet falls to second place behind Bullet Train. In its second week, the 3D animated feature earned $11.2 million at the box office. Jordan Peele’s Nope performed well at the box office. The sci-fi feature bagged $8.5 million dollars in its third week at the box office.
Despite a strong start in the United States, Bullet Train’s box office revenue in India is fairly low. The movie’s box office performances appear to be lagging in India. According to Sacnilk.com, David Leitch’s action-thriller flick has so far generated roughly ₹3.18 crores at the box office.
On Rotten Tomatoes, Bullet Train currently has 54 per cent of critic ratings and 78 per cent of audience ratings. The film has a decent IMDB rating of 7.5/10.
