BOTSWANA. Gaberone: A legal advisor to the Botswana Football Association, Steve Rankwane, committed suicide after shooting his ex-girlfriend in front of her current lover.
The girlfriend Chatapiwa Kaenkatse was also a notable lawyer working for Bookbinding Law, a legal firm of the country.
Central Police Commander Superintendent Mathusi Phadi, told the local media that the incident happened in Botswana’s Extension 12 suburb.

Who was Rankwane?
A high-profile lawyer, he was specialized in contract, employment, debt collection, company, and insolvency law.
Rankwane also taught at the University of Botswana.
According to the latest figures from the World Bank, the country had 209 suicide deaths in 2019, 1.44 percent of total deaths per 100,000. A global ranking of 58.
