BMW Group India Celebrates Record Sales and Market Share in 2022

INDIA: BMW Group India has announced its best-ever annual performance in 2022, with record sales for its BMW, MINI, and BMW Motorrad brands.

BMW Group India’s 2022 sales numbers shatter previous records

According to the BMW reports, the company sold 22,571 units in 2022, marking an increase of 11% compared to the previous year.

BMW brand sales were up by 9% at 20,112 units, while MINI brand sales rose by a staggering 37% to 2,459 units. 

The locally produced “Countryman” contributed to 41% of the sales for the MINI brand, followed by the “Hatch,” which contributed 38%, and the “Convertible,” which contributed 21%.

BMW Motorrad, the company’s motorcycle division, saw a 40% increase in sales last year, resulting in its highest-ever motorcycle delivery total of 7,282 units.

The success of BMW Group India can be attributed to several factors, including the strong demand for its luxury vehicles and the company’s focus on customer satisfaction and after-sales service.

In addition, BMW has also been able to adapt to the changing market conditions brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, with a focus on digital sales and contactless services.

Speaking about the company’s performance, Vikram Pawah, President of BMW Group India, said the company is incredibly proud to have achieved the best-ever annual performance in 2022. 

Pawah credited the outstanding result as a testament to the hard work and dedication of the BMW India group. He added that the team’s efforts bore fruit in the strong demand for BMW products and services. 

The President of BMW India expressed the company’s commitment to continue delivering the best possible experience for its customers. He emphasised that the company looks forward to building on this success in the years ahead.
