UNITED STATES: Ana de Armas’ Blonde is the latest title that lands as the highly awaited film set to debut on Netflix. Ever since the trailer and first look poster were released, the movie has grabbed a lot of attention from viewers. Given the teaser response, Andrew Dominik’s film holds massive hype among the audience for its OTT release scheduled for this week.
The Blonde trailer starring Ana de Armas bagged positive responses from viewers
The Andrew Dominik directorial Blonde is based on Joyce Carol Oates’ 2000 novel which goes by the same title. Following the announcement of the film in 2019 starring Ana de Armas as legendary Hollywood star Marilyn Monroe, the movie is finally arriving with a global release on Netflix. The film will be available for streaming from September 28, 2022.
Prior to the Netflix debut, Blonde was screened at the Venice International Film Festival on September 8, 2022. Following the film festival release, the movie was also premiered in selected theatres in the United States on September 16, 2022. The Ana de Armas-starrer movie bagged an NC-17 rating, which emerges as the first Netflix film to receive such a rating.
In addition to Ana de Armas, Adrien Brody, Bobby Cannavale, Xavier Samuel, and Julianne Nicholson will also appear in pivotal roles. Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Tracey Landon, and Scott Robertson bankrolled the film under the production banner of Plan B Entertainment.
Chayse Irvin handled the cinematography while Adam Robinson edited the film. Nick Cave and Warren Ellis composed the music for the upcoming movie.
In July 2022, Netflix unveiled the trailer on Twitter. The tweet read, “Watched by all. Seen by none. Ana de Armas is Marilyn Monroe in Blonde, premiering September 28.”
The trailer featured Ana de Armas as Marilyn Monroe, which provided a glimpse of the upcoming film. Given the Hollywood star’s performance, the official clip bagged high praise from the audience. The video showcases Chayse Irvin’s perfect cinematography as it brilliantly blends black and white scenes with colour ones.
